A parent of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible NZ citizen (ENZ) can apply for permanent residence in Australia if they satisfy the balance of family test plus other visa criteria. The balance of family test requires you to have 50% or more of your children living in Australia as permanent residents. This includes all children, step children, and adopted children, and even includes children from other relationships.
