BREAKING NEWS FOR QUEENSLAND BUSINESS AND SKILLED MIGRATION

31 Jan 2019

The Queensland State Government has announced that from the 1st February 2019 the below occupations have been removed from the Queensland Occupation lists (QSOLs) due to reaching quota capacity. This will affect applicants intending to apply for subclass 190 Skilled State Nominated and subclass 489 Regional Skilled State Nominated visas.

• ICT Business Analyst – 261111
• Quantity Surveyor – 233213
• Construction Project Manager – 133111
• Marketing Specialist – 225113

If you have not received an invitation by 1st February. BSMQ is no longer able to issue any new invitations this year. BSMQ may open these occupations later if the current invitees do not respond in the required time frame.

Please also note the following occupations will also be removed from the offshore QSOL list but will be kept on the Working in Queensland onshore list.

• Interior Designer – 232511
• Actuary – 224111

This may well change in July when the State review and renew their annual quotas, so all is not lost but if you are concerned please contact us either by email or call us on 01483550919 and one of our Registered Migration Agents will assist. If these changes have directly affected you our Registered Migration Agents will be in touch to advise you accordingly and guide you through your available options.
