Skilled Occupation List
The Australian Skilled Occupation Lists (MLTSSL, STSOL & ROL) are lists of occupations approved by the Department of Immigration to qualify outright for a skilled visa. As well as being skilled in an occupation on either of these lists, applicants must also meet the basic eligibility requirements, pass the visa points test and receive an invitation to apply through SkillSelect. This list is amended (usually only to a minor extent) every 1 July - as long as your occupation is on the lists at the time your visa application is lodged you remain eligible.
If your occupation is not listed on either of the skilled lists, then your occupation may instead be eligible based on sponsorship by a state or territory government under a State Migration Plan.
For every occupation listed, there are corresponding lists of duties that an applicant must generally perform to be eligible to fall within this occupation for Australian migration purposes as well as required qualifications. As a Registered Migration Agent, we can provide a full assessment of which occupation you fall under according to visa regulations and whether this qualifies you for a skilled visa.
Whether or not your occupation is listed on the Skilled Occupations Lists, we invite you to complete our free visa eligibility questionnaire. If you do not find your occupation on the SOLs, your occupation may be included on a State Migration Plan or there may be other visa alternatives open to you. By completing our questionnaire we will provide you a free assessment outlining all available visa options.Free Skilled Visa Evaluation
