How we gather information from users
How we collect, and store information depends on the page you are visiting, the activities in which you elect to participate, and the services provided. For example, you may be asked to provide personal information when you register, complete our evaluation form or request certain features, such as newsletters. Like most websites, Immigration2oz also collects information automatically through the use of electronic tools that may be transparent to our visitors. For example, we may log the name of your Internet Service Provider or use cookie technology to recognise you and hold information from your visit. As we adopt additional technology, we may also gather information through other means. In certain cases, you can choose not to provide us with information, for example by setting your browser to refuse to accept cookies, but if you do you may be unable to access certain portions of the site and we may not be able to customise the site's features according to your preferences.
What we do with the information we collect
The information collected by Immigration2oz is purely to assist in securing our clients the relevant visa. Immigration2oz on occasion use this information to enhance client experience to deliver a more individualised and tailored approach to our service. We respect your privacy and do not share your information with anyone. As Registered Migration Agents we are also governed by a strict Code of Conduct which outlines how we manage and store the data we collect from you. "6.1 A registered migration agent must maintain proper records that can be made available for inspection on request by the Authority, including files containing:
(a) a copy of each client’s application; and
(b) copies of each written communication between:
(i) the client and the agent; and
(ii) the agent and any relevant statutory authority; and
(iii) the agent and the Department regarding the client; and
(c) file notes of every substantive or material oral communication between:
(i) the client and the agent; and
(ii) the agent and an official of any relevant statutory authority; and
(iii) the agent and the Department regarding the client.
6.1A A registered migration agent must keep the records mentioned in clause 6.1 for a period of 7 years after the date of the last action on the file for the client.
6.2 A registered migration agent must keep all documents to which a client is entitled securely and in a way that will ensure confidentiality while the agent is giving services to the client and until the earlier
(a) 7 years after the date of the last action on the file for the client; or
(b) when the documents are given to the client or dealt with in accordance with the client’s written instructions.
Note: On the completion or termination of services, all documents to which a client is entitled are to be dealt with in accordance with Part 10.
6.2A For clause 6.2, the documents to which a client is entitled, include (but are not limited to) documents that are:
(a) provided by, or on behalf of, the client; and
(b) paid for by, or on behalf of, the client;
such as passports, birth certificates, qualifications, photographs and other personal documents.
6.3 A registered migration agent must respond to a request for information from the Authority within a reasonable time specified by the Authority.
6.4 A registered migration agent must act on the basis that the agent’s electronic communications are part of the agent’s records and documents."
Aggregated Information (information that does not personally identify you) may be used in many ways. For example, we may combine information about your usage patterns with similar information obtained from other users to help enhance our site and services (e.g., to learn which pages are visited most or what features are most attractive). Aggregated Information may occasionally be shared with our business partners. Again, this information does not include any Personally Identifiable Information about you or allow anyone to identify you individually.
We may use Personally Identifiable Information collected on www.immigration2oz.com to communicate with you about your visa application; our Terms of Service and services and products offered by Immigration2oz and other topics we think you might find of interest.
We will use your information only as permitted by law. We may also disclose your information in response to a court order, at other times when we believe we are reasonably required to do so by law, in connection with the collection of amounts you may owe to us, and/or to law enforcement authorities whenever we deem it appropriate or necessary. Please note we may not provide you with notice prior to disclosure in such cases.
Affiliated sites, linked sites and advertisements
Immigration2oz expects its partners and affiliates to respect the privacy of our users. Be aware, however, that third parties, including our partners and affiliates accessible through our site, may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. Immigration2oz is not responsible for the actions or policies of such third parties.
Changes to this Policy
Immigration2oz.com reserves the right to change this policy at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of our site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. Information collected prior to the time any change is posted will be used according to the rules and laws that applied at the time the information was collected.
This policy and the services provided by Immigration2oz are governed by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
